News from Dec 06, 2024
In a press release dated 06 December 2024, PERILS, an independent organisation that provides data on exposure to disasters and losses from events, published its third estimate of insurance losses caused by the floods from 31 May to 6 June in southern Germany. The estimated losses amount to 1,582 million euros, mainly in the federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Approximately 60% of this is due to damage to residential buildings and 40% to commercial property.
